SMC Fund Raising

  • Kris Szegeti will do a professional job of Window Cleaning. He has the equipment and experience. All proceeds will be donated to the SMC. Why hire someone else? Why spend money on buying your own equipment? Call him for more info or to book an appointment: 778-846-5042.
  • Jane Chan is selling Movie Tickets for $9 each. Why pay full price? Movie tickets make great gifts (hint, hint)! She will be able to donate $1 per ticket to the SMC.  Contact her at 604-448-1568.
  • Diem Tu will provide personal income tax services from now through April 30 for a very reasonable fee.  All proceeds will go to the SMC.  Most can be e-filed and thus a refund can be received in as little as 8 working days.
  • Beth Jabagat is offering to do babysitting and some housekeeping on Saturdays.  80% of what she is paid will go toward the SMC.  Please contact her for more information.

Do you have a fund raising plan for the SMC that you would like to advertise on the church website?  Then send an email to Brian (brian.felushko@gmail.com) explaining your plan and how you will donate to the SMC and he’ll post it on this page!

Weekly Contribution Report – Update for July 2010

2010 Weekly Budget: $5000

2010 Average Weekly Giving (July): $4953

July was another good month in terms of our weekly contributions as we averaged just under $50 under our original budget estimate of $5000 per week.  Total weekly contributions in July were almost $20,000 (and average of $37 per member per week), with an additional $804 for benevolence and over $6,000 given for the Special Ministry Contribution!  Total donations from the VCOC members for July were almost $26,000!

Now that the Gollands are here with us, we can see and feel the impact of our sacrificial giving, as God has added workers to the harvest field.  Let’s continue to support their efforts to evangelize the campuses of the greater Vancouver area, starting with UBC and it’s 50,000 plus students!  God has certainly been leading them to people who are already open to studying the Bible.
