“Getting Unstuck” - Parenting Workshop
November 19, 2011, 10am – 1pm
Location: 15 East Royal Avenue, New Westminster (Holly Kennedy-Symonds’ party room).

Parents and Grandparents:
Do you feel stuck when you try to talk with your children? Do many conversations end with one of you running out of the room? Do you avoid even trying to talk with your son or daughter?
Getting Unstuck” is a workshop for parents of pre-teens, teens, and adult children that will begin to equip you as parents with the tools to communicate (speak & listen) respectfully and intimately with your maturing/mature children. The goal is to impact your children’s continued journey in a way that fosters peace and goodwill in the family.
Brian and Sara Felushko draw on more than 30 years of marriage, parenting and ministry experience to help spouses, parents and individuals continue to learn and grow personally and in their most important relationships. They have conducted numerous workshops and retreats and have been keynote speakers at events both large and small all throughout Canada, the U.S., and in Turkey, Israel, Cyprus and Greece.
They have two adults sons, both married, and five grandchildren. They are passionate about marriage and family and believe that it is possible for anyone to have life-long relationships with spouse and children (regardless of age) that are mutually respectful, intimate, need-meeting and therefore immensely fulfilling!
This workshop is free for all parents. All materials are included. Coffee, tea, juice, fruit and snacks will be provided.
- Sara holds a B.A in Elementary & Special Education. She is a Registered Professional Counsellor, is a licensed HOPE Workshop facilitator and trainer (init4life.ca) a Christian focused program designed to help overcome painful experiences, and offers training in Nonviolent Communication (www.cnvc.org). http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/
