DETAILED ITINERARY
Friday May 16 - Depart Vancouver
While some of us might have differing schedules, we thought it would be nice to meet up together at a location, grab a coffee or a latte, and drive down together. You are free to arrange your own carpool situations. So, for the drivers that are able, we will meet at the following location, which is fairly close to the border:
Friday May 16, 8:00PM
Starbucks @ South Point Shopping Plaza
710-3061 152 Street, Surrey, BC
(604) 542-5417
Silver Cloud Inn - Lake Union
From there we will drive down to the Silver Cloud Inn Lake Union. We've done some checking, and many other hotels are fully booked already. The Silver Cloud Inn has reasonable rates and good amenities, and is about a 9 minute drive away from Pike Place, and some of the other attractions are not too far away. Church on Sunday is only a 12 minute drive away. Here is the link to the hotel.
1150 Fairview Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98109
toll-free: 1.800.330.5812
Room Rates, Standard Room with 2 queen beds, 4 person occupancy:
Average Rate: $189USD per night x 2 + $58.96 taxes = $436.96 (internet special rate if booked from their website)
This works out to about $110 per person for the weekend.
Included ammenities:
42" plasma TV, complimentary parking, wireless internet access, daily deluxe continental breakfast, indoor pool & spa, fitness centre, fridge & microwave in each room,
Andrew & Hanah Nguyen will have a list of all the singles going on this trip, so you can inquire with them to see who is available for rooming. We recommend you choose one person from your room to book online. To ensure availability and the discounted internet rate, please book from their website as soon as possible.
Once we've all checked in, we'll have an optional late night social in the hotel's restaurant or other available offerings, to unwind and relax a little.
SATURDAY MAY 17
The hotel as a deluxe continental breakfast daily from 6:00AM - 10:00AM. You're free to do as you wish. Some recommended activities include:
1. a walk to the nearby marina
2. personal time / quiet time
3. fitness centre / pool & spa
At 11AM, we'll make our way to downtown Seattle to hang out, shop, and find a place to have lunch together. At this point, we hope to have the Seattle Singles join us.
From 2PM onwards we have the choice between two activities:
1. Woodland Park Zoo
The 92-acre, award-winning Woodland Park Zoo is hailed for its naturalistic exhibits. Enter the world of lions, elephants, great apes, bears, birds and more. Climb, crawl and slide in Zoomazium, where you can connect with nature through play! Just minutes from downtown. Visit their website.
Admission: $15 per adult
2. "Ride the Ducks" 90 minute boat tour: You haven't seen Seattle until you've seen it from a Duck! Travelers and local Seattle-ites of all ages love to Ride the Ducks! Our hilarious, Coast Guard-certified maritime captains will take you on a musical tour of the Emerald City. Amphibious World War II vehicles will show you Seattle from both land and water! You'll see downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, Funky Fremont, then, SPLASH into Lake Union for a spectacular view of the city skyline, luxurious yachts, and Sleepless in Seattle Houseboats! Click on the video tour for details! It's a party on wheels that floats! Don't forget your Wacky Quacker noisemaker! Visit their website.
Admission: $25 per adult
We'll make our decision depending on which one is more popular with most people. Again, these are optional, but groups are always more fun!
After our full day of adventure, we'll return to the hotel for some personal time... maybe even a nap! Then at 7:00PM we'll hook up with the Seattle Singles and have a roaring time over dinner, maybe even find a place with live music, or play billiards, or just mix it up and meet some new people. Warning: no curfew in effect!
SUNDAY MAY 18
On Sunday morning, we'll worship with the City Sector in their new Queen Ann church building, which we've heard so much about! Then after lunch, we'll slowly make our way back. Some of you might decide to stay longer, so feel free to plan your own accommodations.
City Sector Worship Service

WEEKEND THEME
We have a special theme that will run throughout the weekend. Each person must find & buy the best Seattle souvenir for $10 or under. You may have help from the Seattle brothers and sisters. The souvenir MUST clearly mention or showcase Seattle. We'll all judge the best souvenir at lunch on Sunday!
