Contribution Update

Special Ministry Contribution (SMC) – December 21, 2011

SMC Goal (by end of 2011): $165,000

SMC Total To Date  - $165,778(100 % of goal)

“Nothing is impossible with God!” We did it!  Or actually, God did it through us!  Not only have we hit our weekly budget in 2012, we’ve also reach our two year Special Ministry Contribution goal!  Congratulations and thanks to all the generous VCOC members who believe in what God is doing in us and wants to do through us and we willing to put their money where their faith is!  We now have the beginnings of a revived campus ministry.  Also, we’ve been able to provide support to various  ministries in the church and make a really strong connection with the Seattle church, whose leaders have already provided insight and feedback and will continue to do so!  It’s been another great year of giving in the VCOC which will lead to a great year of reaping in 2012.

Weekly Contribution Report for 2011

Basically, all the contributions for 2011 are in!  While I do not have the final figures worked out, overall we were very consistent in our giving, with a few minor fluctuations, so that in the end we averaged close to our weekly budget of $4600.

Our challenge now lies ahead for 2012 and beyond.  The church budget has been trimmed in every way possible – a new, smaller office and less expensive office has been secured, travelling costs have been cut back to the  minimum and we are not planning to send any support outside the local congregation.  However, our current level of weekly giving will not sustain our current expenses.  Future articles and reports will be addressing this issue, in terms of what we all can and must do to continue to move forward with our mission as a church.  In the meantime, enjoy the holidays with family and friends and get yourself ready for your best year yet in the Lord!
